Kusal Mendis on Thushara's hat-trick: 'Reminded me of how Malinga bowled'

Bangladesh captain Shanto meanwhile said his batters weren’t used to playing bowlers with a slingy action like Thushara’s

Mohammad Isam10-Mar-2024Kusal Mendis was reminded of Lasith Malinga when he watched Nuwan Thushara bowl a match-winning spell of 5 for 20, which included a hat-trick, in the third T20I against Bangladesh.”I’m very happy for him,” Mendis said. “With the World Cup around the corner, it’s great to have many of our bowlers in such form. He’s been playing in franchise leagues for some time – he played well in South Africa [SA20] as well – I think that’s also why he was able to give his best for the team when we needed him.”It was those three wickets [in his hat-trick] that the match turned in our favour. It reminded me of how [Lasith Malinga] bowled.”Related

Thushara claims hat-trick on way to five-for to finish Bangladesh off in decider

Shanto: 'Sri Lanka haven't moved on from timed-out incident'

Coming in to bowl in the fourth over of Bangladesh’s chase of 175, Thushara, who has a slingy, low-arm action similar to Malinga, removed the Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto off the second ball and then dismissed Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah to complete his hat-trick. All three were full, swinging deliveries as he deceived the batters with his pace, swing and low bounce. He later removed Soumya Sarkar and Shoriful Islam to complete the five-for, his best figures in T20Is.”I agree that the whole match pivoted in that one over,” Shanto said. “He bowled a very good over. I think we have to credit the bowler. We were held back by that over. I felt that if we could have handled that over better, or generally held our own against the new ball, we could have had a different result.”He got a bit of swing. He has that action. He wasn’t getting a lot of bounce due to his side-arm action. It was keeping low. This won’t happen all the time, but we have to tackle these things better in the future.”We don’t usually get to play a bowling action like his. We played well against [Matheesha] Pathirana in the first two matches. I think the new ball swung a lot. We have to plan better, and accept such things in international cricket.”Kusal Mendis was in top form in the series•AFP/Getty ImagesBangladesh also had to contend with a familiar threat in the form of Mendis, who made 86 off 55 to single-handedly take Sri Lanka to a competitive 174 for 7. He now has six fifties against Bangladesh, the the most by any batter in T20Is against this opposition. He also finished the T20I series as the highest run-scorer with 181 from three games.”In the previous couple of T20s before this series I wasn’t really in the runs, so in the first game I was focusing on providing the team with what it needs,” Mendis said. “More than me scoring runs, I wanted to do what was best for the team, and I’m glad I was able to do that consistently over the series.”It gets a little easier to bat here [in Sylhet] once you’re at the crease for a while, especially under lights. The boundaries are also close in, so you can score boundaries in any way that you’re comfortable. I’m happy with the way I performed in these conditions.”Shanto meanwhile said there were a few positives in Bangladesh’s defeat, picking out legspinner Rishad Hossain for his all-round abilities. “He [Rishad] bowled very well according to the conditions,” Shanto said. “We needed his batting because we now play with six specialist batters and an allrounder. I think his batting is one to look out for the future.”There were positives in this series. The way we fought back even after losing early wickets, in the first match and the third match. The way the bowlers made a comeback in this game.”

Harry Brook dedicates century to late grandmother as he targets England return

Batter withdrew from India Test tour and IPL but is focussed on World Cup comeback

ESPNcricinfo staff28-Apr-2024Harry Brook says his performances this summer are dedicated to his late grandmother Pauline, who passed away in March.Pauline Brook was visible throughout her grandson’s career and became a cult hero within English cricket. She often collected awards on Harry’s behalf, of which there have already been many in the player’s short career. She was the figurehead of the Brook family and lived next to Burley-in-Wharfedale Cricket Club, where Harry learned the game.Pauline fell ill in January, while Brook was preparing for England’s Test tour of India in the UAE. The 25-year-old subsequently pulled out of the five-match series, before missing the Indian Premier League with Delhi Capitals after she passed away.Brook has since returned to action with Yorkshire and marked his first match for the county since July 2022 with an emotional 69-ball century against Leicestershire, looking to the sky upon reaching three figures. It was his first competitive appearance since England’s fifth T20I against West Indies in December. A second century – 126 not out – came on Saturday against Derbyshire at Headingley, as Yorkshire posted 450 for 5 declared in their first innings.Speaking publicly for the first time since Pauline’s death, Brook dedicated both his centuries to his grandmother and reflected on a tough time for the family. He was also grateful for the time he had with her at the start of the year before her condition deteriorated.”Both of those hundreds [for Yorkshire this season] and all of the runs I’ve scored so far this year are all dedicated to her,” Brook told the ECB Reporters Network.”When I came home from Abu Dhabi, it was a very tough time, and I’m glad I did come home. Obviously, it was a big decision to make. I hadn’t played hundreds of games for England, so to just turn down a big Test tour like that [India] was a big decision to make.”But she comes before all of that. She would have come out there a couple of years ago, so I had to come back and support her as much as I could. I managed to take her out for a coffee and whatnot in that first week I was back.”I was still training with a mindset of trying to get back out for the last couple of Tests, all being well. It all disintegrated fairly quickly, so that didn’t happen. I just tried to support her as best as I could and everyone around us.”Following the conclusion of Yorkshire’s match with Derbyshire, in which rain washed out the entirety of the scheduled third day’s play on Sunday, Brook will play his final County Championship match of this portion of the season, against Glamorgan next week. He will then join England for their T20I series against Pakistan ahead of the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean.Brook was an ever-present in England’s 2022 T20 World Cup triumph and will be integral to their title defence. Jos Buttler and Matthew Mott announce their provisional squad on Tuesday (April 30) with Brook set to be a pivotal figure in a relatively young group. He will then return to the Test side this summer for series against West Indies and Sri Lanka from July.”I’m looking forward to it, if selected,” Brook said of the World Cup. “We join up at the end of next month. I’m looking forward to being back with the lads and hopefully producing the goods for England again.”

Weather could force changes in XIs as Australia look to level terms with India

Big picture: Expect swing in Thiruvananthapuram

What did the ODI World Cup not give you? Enough last-ball thrillers? Runs from Suryakumar Yadav and Josh Inglis? Wristspinners being carted around? Well, that’s why we have bilaterals…A mere four days after Australia’s World Cup triumph, a bunch of their players stayed back – and others joined them – for a five-match T20I series, which started with a nail-biting game that ended with a last-ball six that didn’t even find a place in the scoreboard. Line-ups and fortunes changed so much that Steven Smith opened the batting, Ishan Kishan walked in at No. 3, and Inglis hammered Australia’s joint-fastest men’s T20I century. But some other things remained the same. Suryakumar’s domination was back as the format changed, India still had just seven batters, runs continued to flow on an Indian ground, and even though Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins flew home, Australia’s bowlers found a way to bounce back and nearly win after India needed just 14 from 12 and seven from the last over.Related

  • Tilak wants to finish games for India without 'any pressure or expectations'

  • Suryakumar Yadav finds peace in the chaos of T20

  • Inglis hits the ignition as race for T20 World Cup begins

The action now moves further south to Thiruvananthapuram, where the last T20I, in September 2022, saw South Africa collapse to 9 for 5 in overcast conditions. It could be overcast again, given it rained on Saturday, and could force the teams to change their plans. If the ball does swing, Smith’s technical expertise will be handy for Australia before the more hard-hitting batters take over. They would, however, want some more runs beyond Smith and Inglis. The pair accounted for over 80% of the runs that were scored by Australia in the series opener, though they faced 91 balls between them. Marcus Stoinis faced just six balls and he will be itching to smash the ball after managing just 87 runs in five World Cup innings. Australia will also rue not scoring more than 208 on a batting track after being 179 for 2 with three overs to go. That had to do with India’s quicks, especially Mukesh Kumar, who sent down a mixed bag of slower ones, bouncers, yorkers and hard lengths to stem the flow of runs, capped by a stunning five-run last over.India were in some trouble at both ends of their chase, especially where they nearly fluffed their lines by slipping from 194 for 4 to 208 for 8 before Rinku Singh’s last-ball six gave the packed house a smile to go back with, even though Sean Abbott’s no-ball robbed Rinku off that six. It is this brittleness in the lower-middle order that India will again be wary of, especially given their batting ends at No. 7, unless they change their combination. Will they bring in an allrounder like Washington Sundar or Shivam Dube (in swinging conditions) for legspinner Ravi Bishnoi, who leaked 54 in four overs, after just one game?Australia have World Cup winners Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa – as well as Travis Head – to pick from•ICC/Getty Images

Form guide

India WWWWW
Australia LWWWW

In the spotlight – Ravi Bishnoi and Marcus Stoinis

Ravi Bishnoi took 13 wickets in eight games and gave away just 6.09 runs an over for Gujarat in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy while the World Cup was on. Among his highlights this year was the four wickets in Ireland in two games. He got just one T20I in the Caribbean, in which he went wicketless. He could, however, draw confidence from the 16 wickets he got in the IPL that played a crucial role in Lucknow Super Giants’ third-place finish. But there, too, he leaked 7.74 runs an over, and how he responds in the second T20I, keeping in mind the race for spots for the 2024 T20 World Cup in June, will be worth watching.A batting average of 21.75 and a bowling average of 35.75 in six World Cup games must have made Marcus Stoinis desperate to show his A game in this series. He struck an unbeaten 37 off 21 to lead Australia’s chase of 191 to whitewash South Africa before the World Cup, but the main tournament saw him getting out in the back end of the innings when the team expected more runs from him than he scored, with a highest of 35 from five innings. The shorter format could free him up, like it did for Suryakumar, and helping the team level the series could give him the lift he needs.

Team news

India may not make many changes since it’s a five-match series. What was a surprise, though, in the first game was slotting Kishan in at No. 3 when it was assumed he would be in a race for the opening slot with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The possibility of swing could make India change their combination, and bringing in Dube for a spinner could be an option, but leaving out Axar Patel would be unfair and replacing Bishnoi with Dube would seriously undermine India’s bowling options. India’s other options outside the XI of the first T20I are Jitesh Sharma, Washington and Avesh Khan.India (probable): 1 Yashasvi Jaiswal, 2 Ruturaj Gaikwad, 3 Ishan Kishan (wk), 4 Suryakumar Yadav (capt), 5 Tilak Varma, 6 Rinku Singh, 7 Axar Patel, 8 Ravi Bishnoi, 9 Arshdeep Singh, 10 Prasidh Krishna, 11 Mukesh KumarThere was rain on Saturday, and there is rain forecast for match day too•AFP/Getty Images

Australia don’t have a big reason to tinker with their XI but their World Cup winners Glenn Maxwell, Travis Head and Adam Zampa have stayed back and will be slotted back at some point. Whether Head slots it for Smith or Matthew Short will be the question – whenever it comes up – and Tanveer Sangha’s expensive spell – 47 runs in four overs – wasn’t great for him or the team. The other players in their squad are Aaron Hardie and Kane Richardson.Australia (probable): 1 Steven Smith, 2 Matthew Short, 3 Josh Inglis, 4 Marcus Stoinis, 5 Tim David, 6 Aaron Hardie, 7 Matthew Wade (capt, wk), 8 Sean Abbott, 9 Nathan Ellis, 10 Jason Behrendorff, 11 Tanveer Sangha

Pitch and conditions

Thiruvananthapuram has hosted just three T20I, and it hasn’t been easy for teams batting first, as the scores reflect: 67 for 5 (eight-over game), 170 for 7 on a slow pitch, and 106 for 8. Barring the rain-truncated first game, teams chasing have won and that might be the better option on Sunday too, with rain around. It will be humid and temperatures will be in the late 20s and early 30s.

Stats and trivia

  • The last time Australia beat India in a T20I was in September 2022, just before the T20 World Cup
  • Suryakumar and Maxwell are one century away from joining Rohit Sharma at the top for most centuries in T20Is (four)
  • Inglis’ 110 was the second time an Australia batter’s T20I century ended on the losing side. Shane Watson’s unbeaten 124 off 71 in Sydney in early 2016 was the first such instance – India were the opponents then too.
  • Inglis has smashed three T20 centuries in his career, and all of them have come outside Australia. The other two were for Leicestershire in the Vitality Blast in 2021. All his other five hundreds – four in first-class cricket and one in one-dayers – were scored in Australia

Quotes

“I have played under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy in the IPL, when he captained Mumbai Indians for one match. He is very calm and clear in his thoughts. He is a very good captain. In the last match also he played really well in a tough situation and he managed [the players] well.”
“They are all pretty good players and may be try to keep them guessing, just to stay one step ahead which is hard to do at times. Maybe do what we can in terms of change in pace, line and length.”

£180,000-a-week Chelsea star now keen to leave amid Real Madrid interest

An “unbelievable” Chelsea player is now keen to leave the club this summer, with intermediaries involved in talks over potential moves to Real Madrid or Atlético Madrid, according to a report.

Maresca set to reshape squad this summer

Despite confirming the additions of Sporting CP duo Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo, the Blues continue to be linked with a number of new additions ahead of the summer transfer window, with Enzo Maresca clearly keen on reshaping his squad.

However, given the need to abide by the Premier League’s PSR rules, Maresca may have to oversee some departures before spending big on new arrivals, and several players could be axed in the summer.

Joao Felix, who is currently on loan at AC Milan, has now given the green light to join Galatasaray on a permanent basis, with the same report revealing fellow forward Christopher Nkunku could also be in line for an exit.

Speculation has also been mounting over Noni Madueke’s future in west London, with Aston Villa now believed to be in pole position to sign the winger, as the Blues become increasingly tempted to cash-in.

Chelsea could be willing to sanction Madueke’s departure, but they may also have to brace for interest in a player they are less keen to see leave, with a report from The Boot Room revealing Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are interested in Enzo Fernandez.

Fernandez would be keen on a move to Spain, with intermediaries currently talking to the two Spanish clubs about a potential deal, but Maresca’s side won’t make it easy, with the maestro’s deal not set to expire any time soon.

The Blues have no plans to green light the Argentina international’s departure, and given that he is contracted until the summer of 2032, they remain in a strong negotiating position.

"Unbelievable" Fernandez has kicked on this season

The west Londoners spent big to get a deal for the £180k-per-week midfielder over the line, shelling out £106.8m, and he has started to justify his hefty price tag this season, having emerged as one of the side’s most consistent performers in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has also impressed on a number of key metrics for midfielders over the past year, most notably regularly providing goals and assists.

As such, it is little wonder some of Europe’s top clubs are queuing up for the “unbelievable” midfielder’s signature, but Chelsea should rebuff any approaches this summer, given his importance to the side.

With Fernandez contracted until 2032, there is little reason to sanction his departure unless he is unsettled, and Maresca will be hoping he is able to build on a much-improved 2024-25 campaign next season.

United suffered a disappointing defeat in the Europa League final to Tottenham on Wednesday night, leaving Garnacho frustrated with his lack of playing time. The young winger only came on in the 71st minute, which prompted a social media reaction and fueled speculation about his future at the club. Gabby Agbonlahor has now weighed in, suggesting Garnacho should seek a move away from Old Trafford after the Argentinian's brother fired a thinly-veiled shot at Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim.

  • AFP

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Garnacho's frustration comes at a time of uncertainty for United. Without Champions League football next season, United face financial challenges and potential player sales. The club's underwhelming performance in the Europa League final has added to the pressure on Amorim and questions are being asked about his ability to rebuild the team. This environment could make it difficult for Garnacho to thrive and get the opportunities he desires and former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor admitted he would be looking to leave Old Trafford if he was in the youngster's shoes.

  • WHAT AGBONLAHOR SAID

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: "Garnacho last night, by the way, not happy. He only played 19 minutes. It's on social media. In a press conference afterwards. Is he the guy you want to keep on side or do you need that attitude out of Manchester United? No, I don't blame him. And if I'm Garnacho this morning, I'm on the phone to my agent even last night. Get me out of here."

WHAT NEXT FOR GARNACHO AND MAN UTD?

Garnacho will likely discuss his options with his agent in the coming weeks. United will need to address his concerns and decide whether they can offer him the playing time he desires, while manager Amorim will need to focus on rebuilding the squad without the financial boost of Champions League football and decisions will need to be made on player sales.

Guardiola believes the match at home to Bournemouth, which will have huge ramifications for his side's bid to finish in the Premier League's top five and qualify for next season's Champions League, should have been rescheduled for Wednesday rather than Tuesday to give his side more time to recover from Saturday's FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.

  • Getty Images Sport

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

City were due to play Bournemouth on Saturday but the game had to be moved due to their participation in the cup final. Guardiola contrasted City being given such a short turnaround time between their games with Tottenham's match at Aston Villa being moved to this Friday to give Spurs more time to prepare for the Europa League final against Manchester United.

  • WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID

Guardiola told a press conference: "Tottenham play against Villa on Friday [because of] the Europa League final. Good decision, [I'm not being] ironic or sarcastic. The Premier League made a good decision. We play all the time quarter-finals, semi finals, Wednesday away and then play semi-finals on Saturday. This season we played [the semi-final against Nottingham Forest] on Sunday [when] we didn't need the extra day. People say broadcasters and more fans, I would prefer to play Wednesday definitely."

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Guardiola believes City's concerns are never taken seriously by competition organisers. Last year he lashed out at Gary Lineker after the ordered City to play their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea three days after their Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid – which went into extra-time – when they could have played a day later. He explained: "We have been nine years fighting against this situation every single season. We are going to play Tuesday night, against an intense, physical, powerful team, Bournemouth, who are playing for the Europa league and we have to deal with that."

Leeds now already looking to sign "incredible" new £46k-p/w star for Farke

Leeds are now hoping to add some experience to their side this summer as they target a return to the Premier League, and Daniel Farke has put a goalscoring veteran at the top of his wishlist.

Leeds front line set to change

Heading into the final quarter of the Championship season, Leeds have scored at least 20 more goals than any other side in the division, adding four more in their most recent game as they thrashed Watford.

Joel Piroe leads the way for Farke’s side, with his 14 strikes enough to leave him second to Norwich City’s Borja Sainz in the golden boot race, while Dan James has also picked up 10 goals so far this campaign.

Despite their freescoring form though, Leeds are still keen to bolster their frontline this summer, and even tried to in January with a move for Southampton’s young talent Cameron Archer, only for a move to be blocked by the south coast side on deadline day, leaving the Elland Road side empty-handed.

The 10 best players in the Championship right now

The second tier is providing great entertainment and drama once again, but which stars are standing out?

Should, as expected, Leeds get promoted back to the top flight, they will want a reliable Premier League goalscorer in their ranks and though Bamford has had experience in the top flight, his future now looks to lie away from Elland Road after falling down the pecking order under Farke.

Meanwhile, Mateo Joseph was subject to interest from Spain late in the January transfer window, and though Leeds opted to keep him, that interest may resurface in the summer when there is more time to replace the 21-year-old. With all that in mind, Leeds have now joined a gaggle of clubs chasing a potential free agent.

Leeds want Newcastle striker this summer

That is according to TBR Football, who report that Leeds hold an interest in Newcastle United forward Callum Wilson as a potential option to add more firepower to their side.

Wilson has spent much of his career in the top flight, enjoying a fruitful spell with Bournemouth before completing his move to Tyneside. Like Bamford though, Wilson has struggled with injuries and, now 32-years-old, is not a player that Eddie Howe can count on.

The Newcastle boss has worked with him at both Bournemouth and Newcastle, and is a masisve fan of his talents, labeling him “incredible” in 2023.

“He’s been incredible and I feel that his performance was right up there with one of the best I’ve seen him play, purely from a tactical perspective,” he explained after a 4-1 win over Brighton.

But now tasked with securing European football regularly, he cannot rely on the veteran. As a result, Wilson is in the final months of his £46,000 a week deal at St James’ Park and no efforts have been made to offer him a new contract, with Wilson having managed just six appearances so far this season.

Now, the report has revealed that “Wilson does not expect to be a Newcastle player by the end of the current campaign” but is keen to remain in the Premier League, limiting his options significantly.

It is added that both West Ham and Bournemouth are weighing up a move, while Leeds are “also interested” should they be promoted back to the top flight. While Wilson is undoubtedly a quality player even now, having shown that with two goals at Elland Road last time he faced the Whites, his injuries are surely a red flag even for a side looking to add Premier League experience on a budget.

Andy Robertson salary: How much does Liverpool star earn per week and annually in Premier League?

Everything you need to know about Andy Robertson's salary at Liverpool

Scottish fullback Andy Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City ahead of the 2017-18 season. Initially serving as a backup to Alberto Moreno, Robertson quickly became Jurgen Klopp's first-choice left-back after the Spanish international was sidelined with injury.

He went on to form a devastating fullback duo with Trent Alexander-Arnold, helping Liverpool to a memorable Champions League victory the following season.

In recognition of his contributions, Robertson was rewarded with a five-year contract extension in 2019, which he further extended in 2021 to keep him at the club until 2026.

Under his current terms, Robertson ranks among Liverpool's highest earners with a substantial salary.

Three sixes in Madhwal over told Gill 'maybe this is my day'

The Titans hero also spelt out his gameplan: “bigger boundaries if they are bowling in good areas, look for doubles; smaller boundaries, you can take it on”

Manjrekar: Gill took his T20 game to the next level in 2022

Shubman Gill’s third century of the season – a 60-ball 129 – has put Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 final, their second appearance in the title round in just their second year in the tournament. But for someone who scored at a strike rate of 215.00, with seven fours and ten sixes, the feeling of “this is my day” came only in the 12th over of the innings, which started with him on 59 off 37, when he hit Akash Madhwal for three sixes in a 21-run over.”For me, it’s all about playing ball to ball, assessing the situation over by over,” Gill said on the official broadcast after his Player-of-the-Match performance. “Maybe the over in which I hit three sixes, that’s when I got the momentum to go big and I realised maybe this is my day and I have to make it big, because it is a good wicket to bat on.”Gill doesn’t come across as a six-hitter – he was No. 42 in the list of six-hitters in IPL 2022 – but has become one – he has 33 sixes this year, joint-second-highest with Shivam Dube and only behind Faf du Plessis’ 36. Stats: Gill hammers highest IPL playoffs score

“[Six-hitting] is not a conscious decision. Obviously, you keep practicing, you want to keep growing, want to keep evolving as a batsman,” he said. “But I feel the belief is more important and that’s what I have had this year and the last year as well.”Gill is in the middle of a purple patch. In international cricket this year, he has one Test century, three ODI centuries (including 208 against New Zealand in Hyderabad) and one T20I century, and averages 51.33, 78.00 and 40.40 in the three formats respectively. Cut to the IPL, and he has the Orange Cap now, for a total of 851 runs so far, scored at an average of 60.78 and strike rate of 156.43. And this was his third century in his last four innings.”It helps when you are coming off a good international season with runs under the belt,” he said. “With me, I know it’s about starting [well]; I know once I start, I can keep going.”Last year, from the West Indies tour, that’s when I shifted gears. I got injured in 2021 leading up to the IPL and I was out for a couple of months. That’s when I started realising the areas to work on and made some technical changes in my batting around December, when I was called up for the New Zealand series just after the T20 World Cup.”ESPNcricinfo LtdOn Friday, Gill got to his century off the first ball of the 15th over, off 49 balls, bringing the 75,655 people at the stadium to their feet. The journey from 50 to 100 took just 17 balls.”The first couple of overs, it [held] a bit on the surface and after that because there was not as much grass on the wicket, the ball was coming on nicely,” Gill said at the halfway stage of the match. “I think also because of the outfield being a little wet [because of rain in the lead-up to the match], the ball stopped swinging after two overs and it got easier as we progressed into the innings.”Titans began a bit slow with Gill on 20 off 15 after five overs. Opening partner Wriddhiman Saha (18 off 16) and No. 3 B Sai Sudharsan (43 off 31) also found the going tough. Gill was dropped by Tim David in the last over of the powerplay when he was on 30 off 19. But he changed gears gradually, teeing off after getting to his half-century. Along with the 17 hits to the boundary, there were lots of singles and doubles at a ground where one square boundary was much shorter than the other.”Definitely [the shorter boundary] plays a part,” he said. “As a batsman, you have to be aware which side to target and you have to take on the bowlers according to that. This is something I had in mind… bigger boundaries if they are bowling in good areas, look for doubles. Smaller boundaries, you can take it on.”
