ويستعد بيراميدز لمواجهة الزمالك، في نصف نهائي بطولة كأس السوبر المصري، يوم 20 أكتوبر الجاري في الإمارات.
وتقام بطولة كأس السوبر المصري في الإمارات من الفترة 20 إلى 24 من شهر أكتوبر الحالي.
وكان محمد ناجي جدو، المدرب العام لنادي بيراميدز، أعلن عن خوض الفريق معسكرًا في تركيا، ولعب مبارتين وديتين، واحدة منهما ستكون أمام فريق كونيا سبور، وذلك تجهيرًا للسوبر المصري.
وشهدت قائمة الفريق تواجد، صفقات الفريق الجديدة صديق أوجولا ويوسف إبراهيم أوباما وعبد الرحمن مجدي، كما يتواجد رمضان صبحي.
ويغيب عن قائمة بيراميدز، اللاعبون الدوليون، فيستون مايلي الذي يتواجد مع منتخب الكونغو، وبلاتي توريه مع منتخب بوركينا فاسو، محمد الشيبي مع المغرب، ومع منتخب مصر يتواجد إبراهيم عادل ومحمد حمدي ومصطفي فتحي.

After an underwhelming display in the middle of the park against Dundee, Rodgers must boldly drop captain Callum McGregor to the bench to give his side the best chance of landing the trophy.

The Scotland international made his first league start after returning from an Achilles injury, which kept him out for three league matches, and failed to show that he deserves to keep his place in the XI.
McGregor played the opening 62 minutes of the game before being taken off and failed to make much of an impression with his lack of quality in and out of possession.
Glasgow World's Ben Banks handed the skipper a match rating of 5/10 – the lowest out of the starting group – and described some of his movements as 'laboured'.
He only completed 82% of his attempted passes – 13% lower than Matt O'Riley's 95% – and ended the match without a single chance created for his teammates, along with a 20% long pass accuracy.

The Scottish whiz also lost possession 11 times from 55 touches of the ball, which shows that he gave the opposition a chance to get back on the ball at times.
McGregor recorded a Sofascore rating of 6.7 for his display against Dundee, which is significantly lower than his seasonal average of 7.32, which speaks to how below par he was in comparison to his usual self.

As you can see in the table above, the 30-year-old star was miles away from being at his best against Dundee, with significantly worse statistics than usual in possession of the ball.
If the Achilles injury has caused his performance levels to drop then Celtic cannot afford to be sentimental or hopeful that his performances will turn around when Rangers are breathing down their neck.
The Gers are only three points adrift in second place and travel across to Parkhead for an all-Glasgow clash on the 11th of May, after the Hoops play Hearts next weekend.

Therefore, Tomoki Iwata should be unleashed from the start ahead of the captain as his performances this season have been impressive at the base of the Bhoys midfield.

The Japanese gem should start at the base of the midfield as McGregor's performances since his return from injury do not suggest that he is the man to look to, unless his form suddenly improves, to lead the team to the title.
That is not a huge criticism of the Scotland international, as the injury has clearly had an effect on his displays, but it is a bold call that the manager may have to make as his sluggishness – as evidenced by his dip in form – could cost them in the title run-in.
Iwata has taken his chance when it has come this season and showcased his ability to dictate games in the middle of the park for the Scottish giants.

It may, therefore, benefit the Bhoys to start Iwata when the Gers come to Parkhead in May, if McGregor continues to look rusty after his Achilles issue.

Still, Leeds would much rather have Meslier in the net now than past figures such as Kiko Casilla with the Frenchman keeping a first-team spot in West Yorkshire ever since Marcelo Bielsa gambled on the young keeper during his celebrated tenure at Elland Road.
Meslier would keep seven clean sheets from ten appearances during the 2019/20 campaign that saw Bielsa guide the Whites to the Championship title, drafted in and performing exceptionally well under pressure.

Those losses are hardly a surprise, however, given that Chelsea have splashed the cash like a Premier League and Champions League winning team, but performed like a mid-table side and missed out on previous profits as a result.
Nonetheless, their FFP concerns have not stopped the rumour mill from starting, with links to the likes of Viktor Gyokeres emerging to finally solve Mauricio Pochettino's striker problem. In a big-money deal, the Sporting CP striker would provide the Blues with a major boost of pure finishing ability.
Meanwhile, according to reports in Spain, Chelsea chiefs are now willing to do anything to sign Aurelien Tchouameni this summer. The Frenchman cost Real Marid as much as €80m (£69m) back in 2022, but has struggled for form at times this season, casting doubts over his Bernabeu future.
It will still be a difficult deal to negotiate though, given that the midfielder currently has no plans to leave Madrid this summer and Chelsea's position outside of European football as things stand. It would be one of the more surprising deals of the summer if the Blues, in their current position, managed to tempt Tchouameni into swapping Madrid for Stamford Bridge. What's more, Chelsea's FFP situation suggests that they're unlikely to land such a big-money deal.
"Fantastic" Tchouameni would unlock Fernandez
When looking at Chelsea's midfield, it's hard to believe that they're sitting in mid-table. Not only do they have a big-money signing who impressed at Brighton & Hove Albion last season to earn a move in the form of Moises Caicedo, but they also have a World Cup winner in Enzo Fernandez. But perhaps a piece is missing. And that piece is a player of Tchouameni's calibre.
The Real Madrid man would finally unlock the best version of Fernandez and partner Caicedo at the heart of Chelsea's midfield, with his stats painting a positive picture.

Carlo Ancelotti may need convincing to part ways with Tchouameni too, having previously sung his midfielder's praises, via TNT Sports: “Without three centre-backs, Tchouameni played a fantastic game as a centre-back. It's an emergency now, but we understand he's a fantastic player in every place you put him. He's good as a number six, but also as a centre-back.”
