تحدث الدولي الإنجليزي ترينت ألكسندر أرنولد، لاعب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ريال مدريد، عن الفوز على دورتموند والتأهل لمواجهة باريس سان جيرمان في نصف نهائي كأس العالم للأندية 2025.

وفاز ريال مدريد على بوروسيا دورتموند بثلاثية مقابل هدفين، في المباراة التي جمعتهما مساء السبت الماضي، ضمن منافسات ربع نهائي بطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2025.

ويلتقي النادي الإسباني نظيره باريس سان جيرمان مساء غدٍ الأربعاء، في المباراة التي تجمعمها ضمن منافسات دور نصف نهائي كأس العالم للأندية، والتي تقام بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

وقال أرنولد، في تصريحات لموقع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا” الرسمي: “شعوري بعد المباراة الخامسة؟ أتأقلم بشكل جيد، ريال مدريد نادي مختلف، وأسلوب لعب مختلف، كما أن المشاركة في بطولة مثل هذه تختلف عن خوض الدوري”.

وأكمل: “كل شئ يسير بشكل جيد حتى الآن، علاقتي جيدة مع اللاعبين داخل وخارج الملعب، أشعر براحة أكبر مع كل دقيقة ألعبها وآمل أن أواصل التحسن في تمريرات الحاسمة”.

وعن مباراة دورتموند أضاف: “بدأنا المباراة بشكل جيد جدًا، وتمكنا من تسجيل هدفين سهلوا لنا المهمة، لم نمنحهم أي فرصة وحققنا ما أردناه ومنعنا تسديداتهم، وخلقنا فرصًا جيدة، أردنا تسجيل هدف آخر مع بداية الشوط الثاني ولم ننجح، ثم حدثت بعض الفوضى في الدقائق الأخيرة لكننا في النهاية حققنا الفوز وتأهلنا”.

However, Spurs could still get ahead of the competition by flexing their financial muscle, and, according to reports from earlier this year, an offer in the region of £29m could be enough to secure the youngster’s services, although that was before his recent uptick in form, so the fee could be higher today.

It could be a costly transfer to get over the line, particularly for someone his age, but given Roque’s form this season and the potential so many believe him to possess, it’s one well worth pursuing, especially if he ends up being better than the incredible Moore.

Why Roque could be even better than Moore

Okay, so the very first thing we should say is that, as things stand, from his performances in the youth sides to how he has been spoken about by those in the know and his short cameos this season, Moore looks like he could develop into a truly exceptional star.

Predicting a player’s future can be a tricky business indeed, but the young Englishman looks like he has everything he needs to become a true world-beater over the next five or six years, and so does Roque.

In fact, while the Spurs gem has made eight, mostly substitute, appearances for the first team this year, he still has yet to score or assist a goal, which cannot be said about the 19-year-old Brazilian.

For example, in 23 appearances for Betis this season, 14 of which have been starts, the “truly magnificent” prospect, as dubbed by talent scout Jacek Kulig, has scored six goals and provided two assists.

Moreover, for someone his age, he has some seriously impressive offensive underlying numbers.

According to FBref, the Barça gem sits in the top 12% of forwards across Europe’s top five leagues, the Champions League and Europa League, for non-penalty expected goals, the top 14% for total shots and the top 16% for progressive carries, all per 90.

If that still isn’t enough to convince you that the “special” talent, as dubbed by former Atlético Madrid star Diego, could become one of the world’s best strikers, then perhaps his statistics from his final season in Brazil will.

For example, in just 45 senior games across the 2023 season, the incredible phenom scored 21 goals and provided eight assists, meaning he averaged a goal involvement every 1.55 games, which is a ridiculous rate of return for anyone, let alone a teenager.

According to reports in Spain, PSG may have initiated contact to offer Aston Villa Randal Kolo Muani in a swap deal to sign Duran in 2025. The French giants are set to show their forward the door almost two years since his arrival for an initial £64m from Eintracht Frankfurt and now seemingly want Villa’s in-form star to act as an instant upgrade.

It’s a deal that would certainly steal the headlines, but whether Villa would be getting the better end of it is another question entirely. Given how disappointing Kolo Muani’s PSG spell has been and Duran’s contrasting fortunes on top of that, it’s not a deal that Villa should take.

Aston Villa should reject PSG swap deal

If Aston Villa get the chance to sign Kolo Muani at a cut price and without the inclusion of Duran, then it’s a deal worth pursuing. After all, this is still a 26-year-old forward who stole the show for Frankfurt not so long ago. But as things stand, it is a deal that those in the Midlands should reject. Duran is playing a growing part in Unai Emery’s side and unless an undeniable fee comes Villa’s way, keeping hold of both him and Ollie Watkins should remain imperative.

Simply put, Duran is clinical where Muani is wasteful in front of goal with both handed fairly minimal opportunity to start from the off. In just under 500 minutes – around 5.5 games – Duran has managed six goals and has managed to outperform his expected rate of just under four goals in that time. Kolo Muani, meanwhile, has underperformed by almost three goals.

A player once described as “quick” and “strong” by Oliver Glasner, Kolo Muani has quickly become a shadow of his best self at PSG.

Verdão faz primeiro tempo muito abaixo e Athletico consegue boa vantagem parcial

O início de jogo foi movimentado e de puro equilíbrio entre as equipes. A primeira grande chance foi aparecer somente aos seis minutos, quando Flaco López recuperou a bola no campo de ataque, tabelou com Dudu e recebeu sozinho dentro da área. O camisa 18, contudo, finalizou para fora e desperdiçou.

O nervosismo dos dois times foi ficando cada vez mais notório à medida em que a bola corria. Aos 13′, Hugo Moura fez ótima jogada individual pela esquerda e cruzou para a área. Gustavo Gómez tentou afastar o perigo, mas quase fez um gol contra. Weverton, atento, salvou o Verdão, que continuava a ser pressionado.

E, enfim, aos 22 minutos, a pressão do Furacão deu resultado. A joia athleticana Vitor Roque recebeu um bom passe dentro da área do Palmeiras, dominou e passou para Alex Santana, enquanto o zagueiro Murilo só assistia. Com uma bela finalização no canto, o camisa 38 marcou seu primeiro gol com a camisa do clube para abrir o placar na Arena da Baixada.

As ausências de Danilo e Gustavo Scarpa, suspensos nas quartas de final, fizeram com que o Palmeiras tivesse inúmeras dificuldades na marcação e na saída de bola, cedendo espaços para o Athletico, que não se segurou e continuou no ataque durante todo o primeiro tempo, praticamente.

Apesar de ter feito um início de jogo ruim, Flaco López foi o autor da última chance dos primeiros 45 minutos. Depois de um ótimo cruzamento de Rony, o atacante subiu mais alto que a defesa adversária, mas cabeceou para fora e viu o time paranaense ir para o intervalo com a vantagem de 1 a 0.

Aparentemente Abel Ferreira e comissão técnica tentaram empurrar o time do Palmeiras na conversa do vestiário. Assim, aos dois minutos, Gabriel Menino recebeu próximo à área do Athletico e arriscou o chute, mas a bola apenas passou perto do gol defendido por Bento.

Aos seis, preocupação palmeirense. Hugo Moura e Raphael Veiga se envolveram em uma dura dividida, onde o meia do Verdão levou a pior. Com fortes dores no tornozelo direito, o camisa 23 deu lugar a Bruno Tabata no campo.

Apesar de estar melhor no jogo, o Palmeiras não conseguia levar um grande perigo ao gol do Furacão. Aos 15′, o jogador vindo do futebol português até que tentou com uma jogada individual e cobrou um escanteio com muito efeito na segunda trave. A zaga afastou o perigo, mas Vitinho desviou a bola com a mão e cometeu falta na entrada da área do Athletico. Na cobrança, Menino mandou para fora.

Quando o jogo começava a ficar cada vez mais nervoso, tanto do lado do Furacão, que tentava ampliar o resultado, quanto para o Verdão, que buscava o empate e a virada, Hugo Moura caiu perto do meio de campo e, esperando a falta, colocou a mão na bola, recebendo o segundo amarelo e, consequentemente, a expulsão.

Com um a menos, os donos da casa procuravam se fechar no campo de defesa, enquanto o Palmeiras ficava mais com a bola e tentava pressionar. Depois de se irritar com o árbitro de maneira incontrolável, o técnico Felipão também recebeu o cartão vermelho.

Depois, o Verdão até tentou pressionar nos instantes finais, mas sem sucesso. Com a partida apenas cadenciada, o resultado de 1 a 0 prevaleceu no marcador. O jogo de volta entre Palmeiras e Athletico-PR acontece no dia 6 de setembro, às 21h30, no Allianz Parque.
